Exodus

Primeiro post meu aqui, vou postar a discografia do Exodus, uma das minhas bandas preferidas de Thrash, e tentarei colocar uma breve biografia no decorrer do post.


O Exodus foi formado em 1981, na Bay Area de São Francisco, California, berço de grandes bandas de Thrash.A primeira formação contava com Paul Baloff nos vocais, Gary Holt e Kirk Hammet nas guitarras, Geoff Andrews no baixo, e Tom Hunting na bateria.

Em 83, Kirk Hammet é convidado para substituir Dave Mustaine no Metallica, banda de Los Angeles também de Thrash, da mesma época que se mudou pra Bay Area.

Ainda em 83, recrutam Rick Hunolt para assumir o lugar de Kirk, e substituem Geoff por Rob McKillop.



Com essa formação, lançam o primeiro álbum da banda, em 1985, entitulado Bonded By Blood, que se tornou um clássico do metal, e que fez a banda famosa, fazendo shows com bandas como Anthrax, Black Sabbath, Suicidal Tendencies, Metallica, Megadeth, etc.

Em 1987, lançam outro álbum, chamado Pleasures of The Flesh, agora com o novo vocalista Steve "Zetro" Souza

Em 1988 lançaram o terceiro álbum, Fabulous Disaster, que na minha opnião é o melhor álbum junto com o Bonded By Blood :D

Em 1990, Tom Hunting é substiuído por John Tempesta (Testament, Black Label Society, White Zombie) e é lançado o album Impact is Imminent:

Com a mesma formação do álbum anterior, em 1992 é lançado o álbum Force Of Habit.

Em 1992, depois de Force Of Habit, a banda se separa. Tom hunting e Rick Hunolt se juntam para formar o Wardance, junto com o baixista jack Gibson.

No início de 1997, a banda se reúne novamente com Jack Gibson no baixo, e chamam Paul Baloff pros vocais, e chegaram a lançae um album chamado "Another Lesson in Violence", durante a turne Norte America e Européia.

Diabético e Hipertenso, Paul Baloff tem um ataque cardíaco enquanto anda de bicicleta e é internado em Coma. Morreu em 09/08/2002, aos 41 anos de idade, a família optou por desligar os aparelhos que o mantinham vivo.

Gary Holt inicia a gravação de um novo album em 2004, o Tempo of The Damned, novamente com Steve Zetro.

No meio da turne do Tempo of The Damned, Zetro abandona a banda por motivos pessoais com outros integrantes. Em 2005 Rick Hunolt também deixa a banda alegando querer passar mais tempo com a família. Então para o novo álbum junta-se a banda o guitarrista Lee Altus, e o vocalista Rob Dukes, e gravam o álbum Shovel Headed Kill Machine, do qual pertence a música "Deathamphetamine", que Gay Holt escreveu baseando-se nas suas experiências com dorgas.
